BUILDING PATHWAYS INTO THE SKILLED TRADES

Utah Women in Trades connects people with the training, resources, and opportunities they need to build careers in the skilled trades. Through our Karen Mayne Pre-Apprenticeship Program, industry partnerships, mentorship, and continued support, we help participants explore the trades, prepare for apprenticeship, and take their next step into the construction industry.

Our work doesn’t end when class does. We continue connecting participants and graduates with apprenticeship opportunities, career resources, industry relationships, and a community that supports them as they move forward in the trades.

Support Beyond the Classroom

Utah Women in Trades’ work extends beyond pre-apprenticeship. We connect people with the resources, relationships, and opportunities that can help them enter the skilled trades and continue moving forward in their careers.

Career & Apprenticeship Support: Connect people with apprenticeship opportunities and help them navigate applications, interviews, and next steps in the trades.

Industry Connections: Build relationships with unions, apprenticeship programs, contractors, training centers, and other industry partners to create stronger pathways into the trades.

Mentorship & Community: Connect people with tradeswomen, peers, and industry professionals who understand the challenges and opportunities that come with building a career in construction.

Resources & Continued Support: Share job opportunities, scholarships, community resources, events, and other support with people building careers in the skilled trades.
